FALL REC SOCCER LEAGUE - GRADES 5/6

Cleated Feet and a Bunch of Soccer Balls
This is a recreational league, but games will be played in area towns, so travel is required. Teams have 1-2 practices per week in the evening at the Wainwright complex and play one game per weekend on Saturday mornings/early afternoons in South Portland and other area towns.  Teams will also participate in a round robin tournament (TBD). A game schedule will be available late August. Includes team shirt.

If you have a specific day or time that you CANNOT practice, please indicate this upon registration. In an effort to create equally balanced teams, we will no longer be accepting team, coach or carpool requests.

Registration Info
  • Register on or before August 4 and take $10 off the regular program fee.
  • Final Registration Deadline is August 11.
  • Registrations will only be accepted after this if there is space on a team.

League Details
  • Games Dates: September 9 – October 14 (practices will begin the week of August 28)
  • Time: Games are mornings/early afternoons, practices are weekday evenings (TBD)
  • Location: Wainwright Complex and other area towns for games
  • Fee: $60.00 ($50 by August 4th)

FREE Coaches Clinic with Challenger Sports
Challenger Sports will provide essential instruction in coaching methodology, demonstration of core soccer techniques and will explain how to run a progressive soccer practice. Attendees will go away with more confidence, more knowledge and an understanding of how to really help their players learn and develop rather than just practice. If planning on attending, please email Esther Palmieri at epalmieri@southportland.org.
