Lifeguard Certification
(for those who do NOT have a current ARC Lifeguard certification):
Register today for American Red Cross Lifeguard Learn lifesaving skills to help keep people safe in, on and around the water. Skills taught included: CPR, how to respond in an emergency, and proper technique for rescues in the water.
Course length: approx. 32 hours in class/in water with a REQUIRED 9-12hrs of online course work (completed BEFORE the class starts).
Lifeguard Re-certification
(for those who are currently certified or within 30 days of expiring)
This lifeguard re-certification option is for currently certified (or expired within the last 30 days) lifeguards to practice and review their skills including water rescues, CPR/AED and first aid. This two day session will be a refresher and include a blended learning (online) segment prior to the in person training. Please plan to have completed the online skills at least one day prior to the schedule skills session. Course length: approx. 10-12 hours in class/in water with a REQUIRED 9-12hrs of online course work (completed BEFORE the class starts).

-You must complete the online portion prior to the in person session

-your proof of e-learning completion
-swim suit
-towels
-lunch/snacks
-a refillable water bottle
These jobs are in high demand! Plus, American Red Cross certification is recognized nationwide so you can work anywhere in the U.S.
Physical Pre-Requisites for taking the class*:
-Swim/Tread sequence: swim 150 meters-freestyle and breaststroke only, tread for 2 mins (no hands), swim 50 meters
-Swim down 9ft to bring a 10lb brick up to the surface, swim with brick approx 15 meters and exit pool (timed event)
*We will test on these skills the first day of the class to ensure all participants are able to take the course.
These classes will be in a blended learning format. Information about pre-course requirements will be emailed out about two weeks before the start of the class. Pre-course work must be completed in order for participation in the course. No exceptions!
