Adult Softball Leagues
Join the South Portland Adult Leagues for the Co-ed Softball Spring and Summer Leagues! Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the sport, this is the perfect opportunity to get active, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly competition. We are excited to bring together individuals who share a passion for recreational sports and a love for the great outdoors.
These leagues will feature team formation, preseason practice sessions, and a chance to socialize with fellow softball enthusiasts. Do not miss the opportunity to be part of a fun and inclusive community that values sportsmanship and camaraderie. Let us swing into action, make this spring, and summer a memorable one on the softball field!
SP Rec will not provide bats or gloves.
Captains please email wdorsett@southportland.gov with your team name and roster after registering.
Individuals/free agents will be contacted at least 1 week prior to the league start date.
Game and League Format
8 games for regular season top 10 teams make playoffs
10 v 10 format, a minimum of 4 female and 4 male on the field
7 innings, no new innings after 60 minutes from scheduled start time.

Monday Softball League
Dates: Mondays, May 4 – July (No games 5/25)
Game Times: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Tuesday Softball League
Dates: Tuesdays, May 5 – June 30
Game Times: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Summer Softball League
Dates: July 7 - August 25
Game Times: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Summer League Dates We will play every Tuesday and have Monday games in August only.
Fall Softball League
Dates: Sundays, August 23 - October 25 (no games Oct. 18)
Game Times: 9:00a - 12:30p
Monday and Tuesday League Registration Deadline: APRIL 23, 2026
NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS - All players must register themselves so the department has the correct contact information and a signed individual wavier from each player for each season.
Individual Cost: $75.00 Res, $85.00 Non-Res – (No Senior Discounts)
