Adult Kickball League

South Portland Recreation will be offering a Fall Thursday night adult kickball league on our outstanding softball fields at Wainwright Recreation Complex. 

Registration is per person. All team players must be registered prior to playing.
Team must have 10 people registered by August 31 to be in the first week's schedule.
Captains please email wdorsett@southportland.org once you are registered with your team name, roster names and 3 team color preferences. 
If you are a free agent please select free agent group when you register.


Quick Rules




  1. Game format - 7 innings or 50 minutes


  2. There are 10 players max in the field (minimum of 6 – 3 guys, 3 girls)


  3. Kick away game. No bunting. Bunts are kicked balls that stop before crossing the encroachment line (line from 1st to 3rd base).


  4. Strikes are SEPARATE counts from fouls (full count is 2 strikes, 2 fouls, and 2 balls)



    1. 3 strikes is an out.


    2. 3 fouls is an out.


    3. 3 balls is a walk.








LOOKING FOR HEAD REFEREES!
If you are willing to head referee 4 games in a season, you will receive a full season fee reimbursement at the completion of the season.


COVID-19 PREVENTION

COVID-19 PREVENTION
  • Dugouts - Only 3 players will be allowed in the dugout at any time. The rest of the team will need to setup outside of the field fence next to their dugout.
  • Fans need to be at least 6 feet apart from the team and each other and 14 feet away from the fields/fences.
  • Masks - Masks are allowed to be worn during the game but is not required. It is recommended to wear them in between game play.
  • Huddles - Please limit the number of huddles within your team and keep a 6 foot distance.
  • No high fives or shaking hands with the opposite team.
  • We recommend players don't share any personal equipment.
  • The kickballs will be wiped at the end of each teams' at bat.
