Join us at the South Portland Pool for the THIRD annual Floating Pumpkin Patch! We will have the pool filled with real pumpkins, and each participant will get time to swim, splash, and pick a pumpkin of their choice. After making a splash in the "pumpkin patch", join us in decorating your pumpkin with paint and stickers (no carving) and enjoy some light refreshments in the Casco Bay Room.
Parents need to register if they plan to participate in the swimming portion or to receive a pumpkin. Any child who cannot swim independently must have a parent/guardian in the water with them. Lifeguards will be on duty, but please plan to stick close to your child, if they cannot swim independently. You are welcome to use our provided floatation on any non-swimmer, but still must remain within an arm's length reach of the child at all times.
For the morning session for toddlers: the pool will be open from 10-11am to splash and swim with the smaller sized/toddler pumpkins. The Casco Bay Room will be open from 11-12 for pumpkin decorating and light refreshments.
For the evening session: the pool will be open from 5-6:30p to select your pumpkin, this will be drop-in style so arrive at your leisure. The "patch" will close at 6:30pm. The Casco Bay Room will be open from 5:30-7:30 for refreshments and pumpkin decorating.
There will be two sessions:
Session 1 (ages 0-5, toddler sized pumpkins): 10-11am; decorating open 11-12pm
Session 2 (all ages): 5-7:30pm, drop-in arrival, swim ends at 6:30pm; decorating open 5:30-7:30pm
Family Event
PARENTS & GUARDIANS...This event is geared towards families, so please register yourself along with your children so you too can join in on the fun! Space is limited to 50 patrons per session. All those who are registered will swim, pick a pumpkin, and decorate. It will be fun for all ages!
