Youth ages 11-15 will learn about the important job of babysitting through video, discussion, and hands-on practice. Topics include: safety of the sitter, as well as of the children, how to interview for the job, how to pick up, hold, feed, diaper, and dress infants and toddlers, how to play with children, and how to handle emergencies. Successful completion of the course includes certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid. Students must participate in all portions of all 5 classes.
Students should bring a snack and drink to each class.
