The only pre-revolutionary courthouse in Maine. When built in 1761, the building was the tallest north and east of Portsmouth.  The courthouse received many notable visitors and numerous trials were held there.  There are three flights of stairs, which are not handicapped accessible.  We will tour the courthouse, have a picnic on the grounds, walk the trails if you choose to do so and we might be lucky enough to see two resident Eagles!
