Kickoff to Summer Family Kayaking Trip • Register • View Cart •

We are celebrating the official start of summer by taking a trip to Sebago Trails Paddling Company! Participants will meet at the South Portland Community Center where they will hop on a bus to Raymond Maine for kayaking, paddle boarding, or canoeing. Vessel choice is on a first come, first serve basis, families with young kids will have priority for the multi-person vessels. Make sure to pack a lunch as we will have time built in for that before departure.
 
Note: This is a self-guided activity. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must have an adult with them. Guardians can decide if they need to be in the same vessel or not, depending on ability.
 
Schedule
8:30am- depart from SPCC on bus
10:00am- Arrive at Sebago Trails Paddling Company
                  Welcome/arrival
                  Sign waiver/use restroom/change
                  Life jacket fitting/ safety demonstration & lesson
                  Provide map of where to paddle
                  Get on the water and explore
                  Enjoy a picnic lunch
2:00pm- Return/ change/back on bus
3:30pm- arrive back at SPCC

Sunscreen/Hat

Water
snacks/lunch

Available vessel types:
When registering, you will be asked to list your preference for vessel type. Below are the types of vessels that we can choose from.

              17 kayaks
              15 paddle boards- adult sized
              *6 double kayaks- Two adults and a small lap child (Under 30lbs) can fit in one double kayak  
              *6 canoes- Two adults and two small kids can fit in one canoe (800lbs total). Kids will be sitting on the floor of canoe. 


              *Families with children will get preference for the double kayaks and the canoes


Fees:
Residents- $35
Non-Residents- $45

Cost is per person, not per vessel, and does not change based on age. 

Rain date is June 29th at the same time.
