Bubbles Bonanza (NEW!)
Discover the science behind the enchanting world of bubbles! In this workshop, explore surface tension, bubble geometry, and create your own bubble art. Engineer unique bubble wands, tackle fun challenges, and uncover the fascinating science behind these shimmering spheres.
Build-A-Thon (NEW!)
This workshop is all about building. Learn the basics of the Engineering Design Process by using your own
building kit to keep at the end of the week. Use our build kits to create new constructions and challenges each
day. Invent and construct your own design using cardboard and other materials while learning to use basic tools.
8-in-1 Solar Robot (NEW!)
Build unique robots that are powered by the sun batteries not required! Using a compact solar panel, these cool little bots harness energy from the sun to power an electric motor to get moving. Build a drummer robot that marches along, beating a drum; an armadillo robot that does somersaults; a solar bug that crawls on six legs, and more!. Use our free build and robotics kits to create your own designs. Come join us for some robot fun!
Up, Up, & Away! (NEW!)
This workshop explores things that are used to move through the air, like airplanes, bridges, rockets, and
helicopters. Build your own rubber band-powered model airplane, solar powered helicopters, and paper rockets. Learn simple engineering skills about aviation and bridge-building, then use your skills to build a bridge and try out our flying drones. It's time to fly away with fun!
STEAM Sampler
This workshop provides an introduction to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) topics through a sampler of engaging hands-on activities. Children will be introduced to concepts of physics, chemistry, electronics, engineering, art, and mathematics throughout the workshop. Each session includes creating several items using science, for children to keep at the end.
Robot Factory: Battle Bots (NEW!)
Build a series of wacky, motorized robots with your very own mechanical engineering kit. Use the Engineering Design Process to engineer your own designs, then enter your robots into different contests and challenges! Prepare for Battle Bots and the Robot Royale!
