Beginner Soft Pastel: Birds:  This five class series will teach beginner pastelists how to create realistic and interesting bird portraits using soft pastel, graphite, and charcoal.  We trace printed photos of birds, which eliminates the need of drawing skills in the class.NEW START DATE OF OCTOBER 26Beginner Soft Pastel: The Winter in Soft PastelThis five class series will teach beginner pastelists how to draw and paint winter landscapes.  Beginner Soft Pastel: Streams and RiversThis five class series will teach beginner pastelists how to draw and paint marshes, streams, and rivers with a focus on fun!  No experience needed.  We will be learning about value, composition, and color while enjoying the beauty of painting winding waterways in landscapes. Beginner Soft Pastel: Animals:  This five class series will teach beginner pastelists how to create realistic and interesting animal portraits using soft pastel, graphite, and charcoal.  We trace printed photos of animals, which eliminates the need of drawing skills in the class.Beginner Soft Pastel: Roadways in LandscapeThis five class series will teach beginner pastelists how to draw and paint paths and roads in landscapes.In addition, students will learn how to use pastels to achieve both a sketch and finished painting look.  All classes will include step-by-step instructions. No experience needed.  Supplies are included in class. Instructor: Joan Quinn
