5th-6th Grade Rec Basketball League

Indoor Basketball Hoop
Because of 5th grade being accepted into the new middle school it has had a trickle effect where we had to restructure all of our elementary basketball leagues. In effect, we have combined 5th and 6th graders into one league.

The focus of this recreational basketball league will be to continue to develop basketball skills with a concentration on fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. The score will be kept but not emphasized. Coaches are not permitted on the court during games. Teams will practice 1-2 times per week (space dependent) at local schools or SPCC and Redbank. Practices will begin the week of November 13. Teams will be separated by gender and grade if numbers allow. Games will be played on Saturday mornings and afternoons, a game schedule will be provided at the first practice.

Dates: December 2nd- January 27th 
Times: 1-2 weekday practices at a school, games on Saturday mornings/ early afternoons at Redbank
Grades 5/6
Location: SPCC Gym
Fee: $90/ Res

If space allows on the schedule, we will try to schedule games with surrounding communities.

Practices will be 1-2 times during the week in the evening (TBD) in South Portland at SPCC or RBCC and will begin the week of November 13th.
